You know those weeks that genuinely kick your ass? The weeks with so much to do that you have lists on top of lists but never seem to cross anything off. The weeks that leave you pretty wiped out and with a big, fat, ugly cold sore to deal with.
I’ve just had one of those weeks.
But it wasn’t all doom and gloom, as I had a bunch of support from friends and family which kept me from totally losing my shit. And it made me think about support networks and how important they are for everyone, at any stage of their lives.
We can’t do everything by ourselves. It’s ok to get some help.
The step this week is all about help – but not getting it, GIVING IT.
Step 26: Be someone’s support
After receiving all that amazing help last week, I will be trying to pay forward that support, and hopefully help someone else out. And I want you to join me.
Who can you support this week?
Maybe it’s a phone call or a letter to someone who’s had a lot of crap to deal with lately. Or a meal for someone who just doesn’t have the energy to cook. Or even a night of babysitting for a friend who needs a full night sleep and the chance to pee alone.
Hell, even a cup of tea and a listening ear maybe just the thing to lift someone’s spirits.
Get creative and enjoy it.
With all the crap going on in the world right now, it’s a welcome break to think about helping others.
Keep in mind that it’s really hard for some people to ask for (and accept) help from others, but keep offering. When things are done out of love for others, they are rarely wrong.
Lots of love,
